The design challenge
The client was expanding his business with the opening of a second tattoo studio. The existing logo was overly complex and not strong enough to stand up to brand development and so the challenge was to create a new logo and develop a brand that would tie the two premises together and help strengthen the already good reputation that had been built up.
The design solution
I developed a new logo that contained some of the original elements of the existing one (skull, number 13) but recreated them in a modern, clean style. The logo was now a simple shape that could be easily applied to many branding materials and signage. The business now has a consistent, recognisable brand that will grow stronger as the identity is applied to future publicity materials.
